The Orleans County Legislature adopted its 2024 budget last week that once again stayed below the property tax cap.  The county property tax rate went from $9.87 to $8.57 or down $1.30 or 13.17%.  It is important to remember the tax rate will vary for each town and city based on the 2024 New York State Equalization Rate.  The property tax levy will increase by $607,000.
